Comprehensive Calculator Guide

Net worth is what would be left if you sold everything you own and paid off everything you owe: total assets minus total liabilities. A family with a SAR 900,000 home, a SAR 600,000 mortgage, savings, investments, a car and small loans might be worth SAR 485,000. Fill in only what applies to you.

What counts, and how to read it

Assets are cash, investments, property at today's market value, cars at what they would sell for, and valuables. Liabilities are the mortgage balance, personal and car loans, credit cards and other debts.

A negative net worth is common early in a career. What matters is the trend: work it out on the same date each year, and watch the debt-to-assets ratio fall.
