Comprehensive Calculator Guide
Body frame size describes how broad your bones are for your height: small, medium or large. It helps read a healthy weight, since a large frame can weigh more at the same height without extra fat. The calculator divides height by wrist circumference: a man of 178 cm with a 17.5 cm wrist has a ratio of 10.2, a medium frame.
The height-to-wrist method
The wrist carries little fat or muscle, so its size reflects bone. A common nutrition-assessment method uses height ÷ wrist: for men, above 10.4 is small, 9.6–10.4 medium, below 9.6 large; for women, above 11 small, 10.1–11 medium, below 10.1 large.
Frame size does not measure fat; combine it with waist-to-height ratio or body fat for a fuller picture.
How to Use
- 01Choose your sex.
- 02Enter height and wrist circumference at its narrowest point.
- 03Read the ratio and frame size.
